National Event Supply is a family owned and operated business with locations including a showroom and warehouse in the greater Toronto area (Mississauga) and a warehouse in Vancouver, BC. National Event Supply began life as D & K Imports in 1992. As a sleepy cottage industry company, D & K Imports grew slowly as a home based business initially offering porcelain figurines, and later adding some porcelain dinnerware.
2001, D & K Imports was incorporated to create D & K Imports Limited. Its growth continued slowly as the business made the transition into a warehouse of its own. After the move to a warehouse the company started to periodically offer tables and chairs to supplement sales of its porcelain products.
2005, D & K Imports was purchased by its current owners, Diana and Dennis. Diana and Dennis quickly saw the opportunity to offer a one stop shop for Party and Event Rental companies in the North American marketplace. This move started with stocking the existing product lines year round. In late 2005 D & K Imports added the White Resin Folding Chair, the first of their current offering of Event chairs. The White Resin Folding Chair remains to this day as one of the most popular chairs available here at National Event Supply.
2007, D & K Imports added its very popular line of NES Reliable Plastic Folding Chairs and Plastic Folding Tables which was the second of their current chair suppliers and the first of their current table suppliers.
With the addition of quality and durable Plastic Folding Tables and Plastic Folding Chairs to their inventory D & K Imports quickly ran out of space at their warehouse.
2008, D & K Imports made the move to their current warehouse and showroom located at 3280 Caroga Drive, Mississauga, Ontario.
2010, D & K Imports introduces its very popular lines of NES Reliable Resin Chiavari chairs, its Crystal (Ice) Chiavari chair as well as its line of Wood Folding tables and Wood Cruiser tables.
2011, D & K Imports Inc. starts to operate as National Event Supply. National Event Supply (a Division of D & K Imports Inc.) was created to better represent the market that we serve. To go along with the name, National Event Supply also created a new Logo to help improve name recognition in the marketplace. National Event Supply also started stocking select folding tables and chairs in Indianapolis, Indiana.
2012, National Event Supply starts to offer Crystal Stemware and Glassware to further build on the success of our popular table top lines. National Event Supply also started stocking select folding tables and chairs in Delta (Vancouver), B.C.
2013, National Event Supply has continued to build out our selection of porcelain dinnerware products with 7 new items introduced this year. There was also the addition of two new chairs being the NES Reliable Mahogany Resin Folding Chair and the NES Natural Wood Folding Chair. Finally National Event Supply added several new NES Wood Folding Tables including the 8-ft x 18 Training Table, the 8-ft x 42” Harvest Table, the 5-ft Serpentine Table, and the Serpentine Table Bar Topper.
2014, National Event Supply started offering spandex table covers for cruiser tables, 6ft rectangle plastic folding tables and 8ft rectangle plastic folding tables. In the spring of 2014, National Event Supply expanded its Crystal Stemware collection, offering a wider selection of crystal wine glasses, and bar glassware. Towards the last half of the year, National Event Supply brought in a Bone China Dinnerware collection to service higher-end luxury events, event venues and restaurants.
