NEW Wing Bowls and Slanted Bowls 01 Aug 2012

Welcome back to the third and final part of our three part blog series on the new porcelain items that we have recently added to our wide range of porcelain dinnerware. In this final installment I would like to introduce you to five new products that are fantastic presentation pieces designed to make your table-top pop. Today, I am pleased to introduce our three new Wing Bowls as well as two new sizes of Sloped Bowls.

We have offered an 8.5 inch sloped bowl for about 2 years now and when customers found them, we would frequently be asked about the availability of larger-sized sloped bowls. To meet this interest we are now stocking 11.5 inch and 13.5 inch diameter sloped bowls. The three bowls are all part of the same line, allowing you and your customers to mix and match the bowls without having to worry about differences in shape or colour. The larger bowls are perfect for serving bowls for items like salads and rolls, while the smaller bowl is perfect for items like personal salads and condiment serving bowls.

The wing bowls offer a unique shape that can be used in a variety of applications. Each size is ideal for something different ranging from a small appetiser in the 8.25 inch bowl to a mixture of fruit in the 12.5 inch Bowl. Both the wing bowls and the slanted bowls are made of our highly durable porcelain which makes them great for use in the commercial environments including restaurants, banquet halls, party rental companies, and caterers. The bowls are currently available in 8.25, 10.25, and 12.5 inch sizes, ensuring that you have the right bowl for your customers' needs.

NEW Coffee Mugs and Personal Teapot 30 Jul 2012

In this, the second part of our three part blog series I am going to introduce you to a number of new products. These products include three new coffee mugs as well as a personal size teapot.

Like the Cappuccino Cups I wrote about in the last posting, the Coffee Mugs have a classic mug look. The large handle makes them easy to hold, and the three sizes allow you to offer a porcelain mug to customers that decide to eat in, no matter what size coffee they order. They are made of highly durable porcelain which means they will be able to stand up to daily use in a commercial environment. The three sizes available are a 10oz mug (H3060), 16oz mug (H3061), and 20oz mug (H3062). These sizes were chosen because they are among the most popular in the industry. The Starbucks Venti size is 20 ounces, Grande size is 16 ounces and Tall is 12 ounces while Tim Horton’s Large is 20 ounces, Medium is 14 ounces and small is 10 ounces.

The Personal Size Teapot on the other hand is perfect for serving bagged tea, loose leaf and specialty teas. The small size allows you to provide each customer with their own teapot, giving them the ability to properly steep the tea prior to serving, further enhancing their experience. The personal size teapot holds 16oz, the perfect size for a single serving.

NEW Cappuccino and Espresso Cups 17 Jul 2012

Cappuccino Bowls

At National Event Supply, we are constantly looking for new products that our customers will be interested in. Our search ranges from folding tables and a wide range and style of chairs to dinnerware, glassware, flatware, and more. Today is the start of a three part blog series that will cover the many new porcelain dinnerware items we are introducing, starting with our new Cappuccino and Espresso Cups.

In an effort to expand our product offering for our cafe, coffee shop, and restaurant based customers, we are introducing several new Cappuccino style cups and saucers into our Hotelier Dinnerware line. Based on the classic Cappuccino style cup, our Cappuccino cups are beautifully styled making them perfect for specialty drinks ranging from a Latte to Hot Chocolate and of course Cappuccino. Additionally the classic styling is maintained through to the Espresso Cup which allows you to keep a consistent look on your table.

Our Cappuccino Cups are available in three purpose built sizes 12 oz (H3070), 16 oz (H3071), and 20 oz (H3072), while the Espresso Cup is available in one convenient 4 oz (H3069) size. Additionally saucers are sold separately for all cups which gives you added buying flexibility. Furthermore the 16oz and 20oz cups use the same saucer which allows you to reduce your purchasing costs over the long term.

6 and 8 Foot Fold in Half Tables Now that we are in the depths of the summer months we thought that this is the perfect time to introduce you to our new 6-ft NES Reliable Rectangular Plastic Fold in Half Tables and 8-ft NES Reliable Rectangular Plastic Fold in Half Tables. Why is summer the perfect time to introduce these tables? Because of all the outdoor activities that everyone is partaking in of course!

The Fold in Half tables are perfect for picnics, BBQ’s, family gatherings, and events of all kind. While their set up size is not an advantage over our normal 6-ft and 8ft Rectangular Tables, being able to fold them in half certainly is. A normal car cannot fit a 6-ft long table let alone an 8-ft long table which makes them impractical to move around without a large vehicle. They are great for your business because many customers would like to be able to pick up 1-3 rental tables for their family event. Picking up is not possible for most customers when the tables do not fold in half. This leaves many needing you to deliver which is an expensive proposition when they only need a few tables. As a result many find alternatives to renting; including buying, borrowing, and even pulling out the old vinyl top card table (click here for a better card table solution). While losing a small order may not seem like a big deal it is likely to lose future business which could be much more valuable. How much weight can White Resin Folding Chairs hold? 26 Jun 2012

The classic event chair. This popular style of chair has been done in wood and in resin. It's classic style graces weddings and other events, both indoors, and out. We've been selling our NES Reliable White Resin Folding Chairs (also know as white wedding folding chairs) for 7 years now, and we frequently get asked how strong our chairs are, and what differentiates them from other chairs on the market. So a couple of weeks ago, we went into the warehouse to show why our NES Reliable White Resin Folding Chairs are such a great investment.

Over the years we have been selling our White Resin Chair we have usually noted that our factory has performed the standard Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA) set of tests which consists of dropping 225lbs from 6 inches above the chair and the chair does not fail. In addition, we have also commented that the chair will hold a static weight in excess of 400lbs (also as tested by our factory). We have confidently stated that we believed the chair could support the static weight of a person much heavier than 400lbs.

While this information is great to hear, what does it really look like? Is the chair heavily stressed with 400lbs? Will it collapse and break if you exceed 400lbs? To find out, we decided to do our own informal tests and have included some pictures so you can see the results.

We loaded up one of our NES Reliable White Resin Folding Chairs with 12 cases of our Maria 18/10 Table Knives. If you`ve ever handled cases of cutlery you`ll know these can be pretty heavy. Each case of our Maria Table Knives contains 15 dozen knives and weigh a little more than 40lbs each. We weighed each of the cases and the weights ranged from a low of 40.25lbs to a high of 41.25lbs for a total weight 483.4lbs. We left the 12 cases of Maria Table Knives on the chair seat for about 15 minutes in total. It is interesting to note that the only stress noises we heard and saw came from the cardboard boxes holding the cutlery and not our chair. As you can see from the pictures we had to tape the boxes together to make sure that they would stay on the chair and not fall over.

Before performing this informal test, we felt positive that our chair would not just survive the test, but would fare no ill effects from the weight that was piled on. After performing this informal test, we feel we can confidently say that our NES Reliable White Resin Folding chairs will hold people who weigh up to 500lbs.
