5 NES Products to Help Take Your Rental Company to the Next Level

As National Event Supply has grown we have continued to introduce unique products to the Canadian rental and event market. While these are products that many of the large rental companies have across Canada and the United States, they are likely not very common (but growing in popularity) where your rental company is. Here are 5 products offered by National Event Supply that will help take your small or midsize rental company to the next level.

1. Resin Chiavari ChairsNES Reliable Resin Chiavari Chairs

Almost every party and tent rental company across North America offers a basic chair. Some offer the NES Reliable Bistro Chairs and others the NES Reliable Plastic Folding Chairs. The next step for many is the NES Reliable Resin Folding Chair (a great chair for all special events). To rise above the crowd however, we recommend the NES Reliable Resin Chiavari Chairs, available in Gold, Silver, Black, Mahogany, White. We also stock Clear Chiavari Chairs that we have aptly named NES Reliable Crystal Chiavari Chairs.

2. Serenity Crystal Wine Glasses

Glassware is a staple of the rental industry. If you are throwing a party or having a wedding with a few hundred guests, do you really want to wash all of those glasses? Of course not, it’s the perfect time to rent! Offering contemporary Crystal Stemware to your rental clientele is a great way to differentiate yourself from your competition.

3. Square Dinnerware

Square dinnerware has been a staple of the rental industry for years now. National Event Supply is proud to offer a wide selection of square plates, platters, bowls, cups, and accessory pieces to make your event pop. While square dinnerware is very common for rental in larger centers across Canada and the United States, it is still fairly unique is smaller centers. Many are afraid that square is just too radical for their customers. After talking to many rental operators that felt the exact same way before introducing square dinnerware to their customers, I can tell you it is a product worth investing in.

4. 8'x42" NES Wood Folding Harvest Table

Have you ever seen those wedding pictures where the guests are eating on what looks like a dining room table, cover with a table cloth with beautiful center pieces spread along the table? Of course you have because they look fantastic! Some of them may even be featured on your very own website. While big and bulky these tables continue to grow in popularity for use in weddings and special events.

5.NES Folding Pedestal Table

We introduced the Folding Pedestal Table just a few months ago. While accomplishing the same task as our always popular NES Wood Cruiser Table and NES Reliable Plastic Folding Cocktail Table, it does offer some special features to enhance the offering. Like the NES Wood Cocktail Tables the center support is narrow, allowing you to twist your spandex linen without touching the leg structure (an issue for the NES Reliable Plastic Folding Cocktail Table). Like the NES Reliable Plastic Folding Cocktail Table, this table does fold making it easy for 1 person to carry the table (sometimes an issue for the NES Wood Cocktail Table). Finally the center pivot points on the legs can also act as platforms for LED lights. When used with a spandex table cloth you can light up the table from within.

For those of our readers in Canada, Happy belated Canada day! Hope you enjoyed some rest with your friends and family while celebrating a wonderful nation. For our American neighbours, Happy Independence Day! Make sure you take some time to celebrate the stars and stripes and count all the ways you’re grateful for your fantastic land of dreams. This month has brought some pretty atrocious weather to the entire North American continent. Arizona is currently fighting a deadly wildfire that has already claimed the life of 19 firefighters. To help out in any way, you can check out this article on ways to donate. Calgary, Alberta is currently cleaning up and rebuilding from the flood that left the city and surrounding areas covered in water. To express your support, you can check out this article on ways to donate. In terms of news though, this month has been chalk full of new trends and more positive tactics to use in your everyday life.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, with more than 65 luxury properties around the globe has released its take on the cocktail trends for the remainder of 2013. Having bars that have created some of the most famous cocktails (the Mai Tai and White Lady to name a couple), Fairmont steps behind the bar to give us their take of what they’re seeing as cocktail trends. How much weight can 6ft Rectangle Plastic Folding Tables hold?

Bag of QuestionsWe've had an "EXTREME HEAT ALERT" here in Toronto for the past few days, so in honour of the "EXTREME" weather, we've put together this video to show the "EXTREME" strength of our 6-ft NES Reliable Rectangular Plastic Folding Table. We've stress tested our 8-ft NES Reliable Rectangular Plastic Folding Table back in March, and did a stress test video for our 8-ft NES Rectangular Wood Folding Table back in May. While the 6-ft Table isn't as popular as our 8-ft table, it is a stronger table. The 6-ft NES Reliable Rectangular Plastic Folding Table is BIFMA rated for 1000 pounds evenly distributed across the top, tying it with the 5-ft NES Reliable Round Plastic Folding Table for the title of strongest plastic table in our inventory. If you watch the video, you'll quickly discover that NES Reliable Rectangular Plastic Folding Tables are commercial grade tables capable of holding an incredible amount of weight!

Now that you've see just how strong our 6-ft NES Reliable Rectangular Plastic Folding Tables are, if you have any questions about them or any of our other products, please feel free to contact one of our fantastic sales reps. The 6-ft Rectangular tables are currently in stock in both our Vancouver and Toronto warehouses and are ready to be shipped from coast to coast to meet your needs!

Long Term Plastic Folding Table and Wood Folding Table Outdoor Durability Test-Day 14

Day 14—June 22, 2013

It has been two weeks since we began our outdoor durability test with the 4-ft NES Reliable Rectangular Plastic Folding Table and the 4-ft NES Wood Folding Table. I have checked on the tables three or four times in the two week time, generally after a storm or heavy rain to make sure that they have not been blown over. While I realize most people will dry off the tables after it rains (since they need to use them) I decided for this test that it is best to leave them alone. If you are in Toronto you will know that the past two weeks has brought lots of rain (at least every other day) and temperatures that are in the high teens to low 20's. As a result the tables have gone through several cycles where they get wet and the water will evaporate in just the past two week.

Despite the wet weather the tables are holding up quite well. The 4-ft NES Reliable Plastic Folding Table is in great shape, it doesn't show any signs of wear at all! The 4-ft NES Wood Folding Table is also holding up quite well despite the rain but this week it started showing some signs of wear. Close to the middle of the table, the top ply is starting to bubble a little bit towards the edge of the table. So far this has not compromised the structure of the table at all but it of course has affected the table visually. Going forward it will be interesting to see how quickly this spreads, especially because this week is supposed to be very hot and humid with temperatures in the high 20's to low 30's and humidity making it feel like mid 30's to low 40's. I will give another update in a few weeks to let you know if there has been any change in the 4-ft Rectangle Plywood Folding Table.

How Much Weight Can Plastic Folding Tables Hold?

NES Reliable Rectangular Plastic Folding TablesWe introduced our NES Reliable Plastic Folding Tables in Toronto more than 6 years ago and the response we have been getting from our customers has been truly amazing. While we have always known our tables are of substantially better quality than you will find with Canadian Tire folding tables or Walmart folding tables, we have never really done a good job of communicating this to our customers.

I realized that we needed to do a better job explaining why our tables are better than those you'd get at a big box store when I received a call from a prospective customer asking for some detailed information about our 3ft square plastic folding card tables. This gentleman insisted that the legs for our 3ft square plastic folding card table should NOT have legs that fold in pairs. He said he had purchased a Canadian Tire Folding Card table that had legs that fold in pairs and he said "the table was crap." Knowing that our NES Reliable Plastic folding tables were not the same 'crappy' quality as you might find at Canadian Tire, I proceeded to try to explain over the phone just how great our folding card table is. Needless to say, this gentleman never bought and I decided we had to do a better job of showing the strength and capabilities of our 3ft Square Folding Card tables. We did this when I tried to break our 3ft Square Folding card table by loading it with more than 1,100lbs of salt on top of the table.

We have done this and other stress tests to show what it takes to break our plastic folding tables. In each of the tests that we have done, we have never indicated what the weight rating was for the tables. When we realised this, we decided it was time we put together a list of the weight ratings that we have for all of our plastic folding tables.

We believe the capabilities of our NES Reliable line of plastic folding tables are comparable to the commercial quality of Lifetime folding tables and better than Costco folding tables but have not done any of our own in-house tests yet. Stay tuned over the coming weeks and months as we start to do some stress tests on Lifetime folding tables, Costco folding tables, and of course Canadian Tire and Walmart folding tables.

All of the plastic folding tables we have listed above are currently available and in stock in large quantities in both our Toronto and Vancouver warehouses. If you have any questions about the strength of our tables or are interested in a quote, please don't hesitate to contact us.
